Depending on the application, we may use densShield, Mapei liquid membrane or Schluter. We typically use Schluter®-KERDI systems waterproofing membranes which are pliable, sheet-applied, bonded waterproof membranes and vapour retarders with limited crack-bridging capabilities.

Yes! We will match our construction price with any established, licensed, insured contractor in the area. We are incredibly comparable to the industry, but if you find another labour quote for less than ours and we can achieve the same quality for that cost, we’d be more than happy to price-match it!

Yes we can provide an estimation online. We can provide a rough estimate online by just reviewing existing space photos to ensure we are on the same page of what the cost of this renovation will approximately be. Afterwards we will do a on-site visit in which we can provide a more granular scope of work and quote.

• Deficiencies and defects not visible from 5ft. or more under natural lighting conditions Framing/Drywall/Painting • Cracks, nail pops, provided that your basement is within 35-55% relative humidity upon warranty inspection. Scratches on the walls due to moving in/out are not covered. Flooring/Baseboard • Lifting or separating any boards will be covered under your warranty, provided the house is within contractual tolerance. • The flooring/baseboard may also be affected by low humidity. • Chips on the floor are not covered. A thorough inspection of your flooring has already been done during the closing of your project after cleaning. Although we can repair them, please ask the warranty specialist for a quote. HVAC • We do not do duct cleaning Electrical • GFI Switches that are tripped are not covered under our warranty. Always push the test/reset buttons before calling us. If this is the repair that is needed, and you call our electricians on-site, your deposit is forfeited. Plumbing • BEFORE TURNING ON/OFF YOUR EXTERIOR HOSE BIBB: Please ensure the packing nut (drain) is secured before turning on your water. We do not warranty damage caused by the negligence of this aspect. • Clogs and blockages are not warrantable. However, we connect into your plumbing to Ontario Building Code, and there may be blockages. Should you need your pipes cleaned, call a service plumber. If they determine the blockage is a result of our construction, we will need an invoice from the plumbing company proving it, and we will reimburse the bill. • Your existing plumbing that we tied into is not covered. We do a thorough inspection before construction, but ultimately, what exists in your house is your responsibility. • Please ensure sufficient access to the garage/backyard water shutoffs before completing the project. The client is responsible to close water valves during freezing temperatures, and PalmView recommends that you also remove/detach the hoses on the exterior of the house as well. If your water shutoffs or any pipe that we have installed up to the water shutoff bursts as a result of freezing, this is not covered under our warranty. You may be able to make an insurance claim for any damages regarding this; please check with your home insurance provider to find out. Moving • In the event of a warranty claim, all furniture, appliances, clothing, pool tables etc will need to be moved/removed/protected at your expense in order for us to carry out the warranty claim. If the damage is extensive, please consult your home insurance provider for further consultation. Other • Damages caused by low humidity levels • Space/gaps between laminate flooring planks (shrunk by low by humidity levels) • Space/gaps between baseboards, door casings, trim, moldings (shrunk by low by humidity levels) • Drywall cracks (shrunk by low by humidity levels • Water Leak caused by existing plumbing pipe. • Light Bulb replacement. • Scratched/damaged floors • Scratched/damaged walls. • Countertop stains & scratches
